Our History
In 1998, the first Kids Only Early Learning Center was opened by Tamera and Paul McTrusty of Ashtabula, Ohio. Since then, our high quality childcare centers have been providing award winning early childhood education and childcare to the residents of Ashtabula County. Both Kids Only centers have received 5 Star Step Up to Quality awards, the highest childcare quality rating available in the state of Ohio. Kids Only now has locations in Ashtabula and Kingsville.
Step Up to Quality
The state of Ohio measures the effectiveness and quality of childcare centers with a 5 tier rating system. Each tier (or star) that a center receives denotes a higher level of quality that center has achieved.
All Kids Only Early Learning Centers have received 5 Star Step Up to Quality ratings. These ratings are calculated by evaluating childcare centers in various categories including educational strategies, cleanliness, staff member credentials, and overall dedication to continuous improvement and childcare best practices.
